Compensation Structure
Billable Work:
Case reading, document review, internal case analysis, timeline preparation, inspections, expert analysis, and other litigation-support services are billable when assigned to a client matter
The firm establishes billable rates and may vary by matter and role.
Non-Billable Work:
Non-billable work (including internal meetings, training, administrative tasks, and firm-related activities not chargeable to a client) is compensated on an hourly basis at a rate determined based on experience (DOE)
Total annual compensation may vary based on workload and case demand.
TIME OFF AND LEAVE
No discretionary paid time off is provided
Employee is eligible for paid sick leave as PTO (Personal Time Off) and other leave only as required by applicable law, including:
– California Healthy Workplaces, Healthy Families Act
– Oakland Paid Sick Leave Ordinance (Oakland Municipal Code Chapter 5.92)
Leave accrual, usage, carryover, and caps are administered strictly in accordance with applicable law.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Real Estate and Property Management Litigation Consultant supports the firm’s litigation consulting and expert witness practice by providing detailed case analysis, document review, and technical real estate expertise in California real estate–related disputes.
The position initially functions in a Case Reader and Litigation Consultant capacity, with the potential for designation as an Expert Witness based on performance, subject-matter expertise, credibility, and business needs. Advancement to Expert Witness status is discretionary and not guaranteed.
