Commercial Real Estate Appraiser and Research Analyst

Valbridge Property Advisors | Mountain West is seeking experienced commercial real estate appraisers, offering very competitive/high fee splits, as well as further bonus opportunities. We are open to remote working for the right/experienced candidate, but must reside in Colorado.

Our office is located in Basalt, Colorado (approximately 20 minutes from Aspen & Snowmass Village); however, our territory spans the majority of central/western Colorado, which includes the unique and amazing resort markets of Aspen, Vail, Telluride, Breckenridge, Steamboat Springs, Crested Butte, Durango, etc. This area includes world class skiing, hiking, biking, fishing and rafting. Our office philosophy is work hard/play hard with a flexible work schedule to ensure enjoyment of the beautiful place we live.

Given our current work load, we are also offering motivated trainee candidates an excellent opportunity to learn the commercial appraisal business via one-on-one training with experienced appraisers in our Western Colorado office. Junior appraiser/research analyst will gain experience from day one by assisting our staff of certified general and MAI appraisers as they provide high-end, professional, commercial real estate appraisal services for a variety of real estate sectors including office, retail, industrial, multi-family, vacant land, and special use properties. Clients include Fortune 500 companies, lending institutions, attorneys, developers, accounting firms, and government agencies. Our office conducts appraisals in the mountain resort markets and Western Colorado.

Commercial appraisals involve market research, visiting the property, and writing convincing and well-supported analyses. Self-motivation, the ability to think critically, accurately describe properties in writing, and attention to detail are the keys for success in this position.

We offer a competitive salary with bonus incentives and the opportunity for rapid advancement. Junior appraisers/analysts will receive mentoring in the commercial real estate field from industry experts. We require a bachelor’s degree, and writing samples will be requested of candidates who are invited to interview.
