Prepare timely, accurate, and complete standardized building management reports, weekly timesheets, annual operating budgets, and other regularly assigned reports for each property managed. Monitor rent collection and ensure that rent is collected on a timely basis from residential tenants in assigned properties.
Work with Resident Services Department to resolve tenant arrears and housing conditions
Recommend which tenant should be referred for legal action
Update all electronic records in Yardi, including Yardi’s legal module
Process re-certifications for current tenants, in compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements
Conduct tenant move in and move out inspections
Conduct an annual inspection of each occupied apartment, including home visits with tenants. Control property operating expenditures within budget limitations while maintaining Hope Community, Inc. standards, policies, and procedures for fiscal management. Work with Leasing Coordinator to manage and ensure consistent income stream through quick turnover of vacancies
Work with regulatory agency to ensure coordination between Hope Community, the regulatory agency(ies) and the tenants in the Section 8 Project Based Units.
File monthly Excess Income reports and annually submit a request for funds.
Highest level of commitment to, enthusiasm for, and promotion of Hope Community's mission.
Associate degree from two-year college or university; and five or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Working knowledge and experience managing low income housing subsidy programs like HUD, HCR, and Tax Credits properties, specifically HUD 236, Low Income Housing Tax Credits and Section 8 Programs.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge in Yardi and TRACS202.
